Classical Chinese Medicine

Dr Lester studied Classical Chinese Medicine in a 4 yr masters program at National University of Natural Medicine.

Chinese Medicine encompasses many different types of treatment.  In his studies Dr Lester was trained in Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Nutrition, Qi Gong, Tai Ji, Shiatsu, Moxabustion, Tongue and Pulse Diagnosis, and a whole complete theory of chinese medicine as a frame work to use these modalities.

Chinese Medical Theory has many different parts yet all of it is derived from the harmonizing of energies in a persons bodies.(Yin and yang, excess and deficiency)  It explains how we relate to our environment and how our internal energies work with one another.  There are many different ways to describe these energies such as 5 elements, 6 divisions, 12 organ systems ect. and all of them balance and harmonize each other in a way to create health in the body.  Through understanding how these energies interact with ourselves and our environment we are able to create balance.  From a place of balance our bodies heal themselves.
